Contraption links
Your group will be responsible for creating a contraption that completes the following task.
LIFT A LOAD; students will choose any item they want to have lifted.
1. Your contraption needs to use a variety of simple machines.
2. Your machine needs to have at least 8 different stages. The stages can be as short or as long as you need them to be for your contraption. For example, a stage might be a series of dominoes falling that lead to something being knocked over which makes a ball roll; That would be three stages.... dominoes...something knocked over... ball rolling. In total there needs to be 8, but there can be more. It just has to end with something being lifted.
3. Your group will have to create a diagram/plan for your contraption. Your group needs to turn in WRITTEN PLANS of your contraption.
4. Your group will need to present each step of your contraption to the class as well as activate it in front of the class.

Each of you have had an opportunity to create a personal plan of a contraption that you can bring to the group discussion.
The materials you need can be brought from home or found right here in our classroom. BE CREATIVE. Each group will be given a box or tub to keep their belongings in while creating your contraption. You will have 45 minutes each day to work on your creating your contraption. Creating a contraption takes time and practice.
