Use this link to help you find the meanings of various landform vocabulary words. You will be putting these terms in your interactive notebook. Cut the word cards out and glue the top part of the card in your notebook. You will be writing the definition underneath the word card.

World: Continents and Oceans
You will need to know how to identify the four oceans and the seven continents. Practice locating them using cardinal and intermediate directions. What ocean is east of Asia? What continent is directly south of North America?

United States Regions
You will find when researching the main regions of the United States that there are different ways that people divide and name the regions. These regions are cultural units rather than governmental units. They are formed by history and geography and shaped by the economics, literature and folkways as well as natural resources that all the parts of a region share. We will be dividing the United States into six main regions. We will focus our research on the culture, landmarks, industry and states of each region. You will be assigned one of the regions to research and will present to the class the information that you find about these four categories/areas of research. Below are the links you can use for your research along with the books in our classroom library.
